The EdTech company Visang has introduced its AI-based education platform to the U.S. education sector.
Visang announced on the 22nd that it had hosted a delegation of 11 principals and education administrators from public schools in Southern California and the Southwestern United States at its Gwacheon office on the 15th, where it shared its education platforms and discussed potential partnerships for Korean language education.
The demonstration featured Visang’s integrated online Korean education platform master k, its interactive Korean learning solution Klass, and its interactive digital language program ELiF.
master k is an education platform that integrates video conferencing, e-learning, a Learning Management System (LMS), and AI-based pronunciation evaluation. It is currently in use across 12 countries, including in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Klass is an interactive smart learning solution for Korean that has been adopted by over half of the universities in Vietnam that offer Korean language departments.
ELiF was awarded the AES Global Gold Prize at the 2021 AES Global Awards, recognized for its usability and technological implementation.
The event served as an opportunity for Visang to strengthen its educational partnerships with U.S. public education leaders in response to the rising demand for Korean language learning in the United States.
Monica Ryoo, Chair of the Foundation for Korean Language& Culture, remarked, “It was a valuable opportunity to discuss the future direction of education.”
Jeff Kim, Board Member of the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD), commented, “Visang’s digital learning products are well-equipped with tools that facilitate real-time interaction between teachers and students, encouraging active participation in class. Features like recording and sharing pronunciation and sentence shadowing, along with AI-based pronunciation evaluation and the AI Speak function, support effective learning.”
The event was held as part of the “2024 U.S. Education Administrators Korea Training Program” organized by the Foundation for Korean Language& Culture.
The program aims to invite principals and superintendents from U.S. elementary, middle, and high schools with potential for Korean language class expansion, to promote the establishment and growth of Korean language programs in American public schools.
Rho Joong-il, CEO of Visang Global Company, said, “With the global rise of K-culture, more American students are eager to learn Korean language and culture, and demand among Korean-American families has also increased. We hope this event becomes a meaningful opportunity to introduce our platforms to the U.S. market.”
Meanwhile, Visang has signed master k supply agreements with four institutions in the United States, including the Korean Education Center in Los Angeles (KECLA), from last year through the first half of this year.
Building on this event, Visang plans to further expand educational partnerships across the U.S. and continue targeting the advanced public education market to broaden the reach of Korean language education.
